"Rosalind Faye Wilson of Newfane, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 17, 2014 at home. Born in Lockport on April 3, 1938, she was the daughter of Joseph V. Sansone and Sophie Kyston Sansone. After graduating from Lockport Senior High School in 1956, she worked as a telephone operator for the New York Telephone Company in Lockport. She married [her husband] on June 28, 1958. She worked at Sansone's Restaurant in Lockport in the late 1950's and co-founded with her husband ***, Wilson's Pizza Shop in February 1963. A well-known business woman in the community, she was affectionately known as the 'Pizza Lady of Newfane'. Roz also worked at Sansone's Liquor Store in Wright's Corners and co-owned Rosalind's Restaurant in Newfane with her husband in the 1970's. She was the president of the Newfane Women's Lions Club in 1959 and 1960. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. Roz especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Her kindness, gentle spirit and caring nature will be greatly missed by her family, friends and the community of Newfane. Roz is survived by her husband, ***; her children ***; her [siblings]; sister-in-law ***; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, March 20th, from 7 - 9 p.m. and Friday, March 21st from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. at the Rutland Corwin Funeral Home Inc. 2670 Main St. in Newfane, NY. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 22nd at Grace Bible Church in Newfane at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Corwin Cemetery."
