About Mary (Heath) (Mason) Seeley
Most researchers report Mary's maiden name as Mary Heath Mason, and attempt to find parents for her with the surname of Mason. The Seeley Genealogical Society does not show a maiden name for her, but instead shows both Heath and Mason to be the surnames of her first two husbands.
The Society further indicates that Mary had 10 children with these two husbands, with her first child being born about 1608, or when she was about 18 years old. Mary's first child was only about 6 years younger than her third husband, Robert Seeley, who was about 12 years younger than Mary. Mary and Robert were married on 15 Dec 1626, meaning that Mary had 10 children, with two different husbands, within a period of 18 years. All of Mary's children with her first two husbands were deceased by 1626. The Society further notes that Nathaniel Seeley, son of Robert and Mary Seeley, was baptized 9 months and 1 day after Robert and Mary were married.
