About Frank Mead Bradley

From Niagara County, New York, at page 522:

Frank Mead Bradley is "a prosperous farmer and former member of the New York General Assembly. The Bradleys are of English extraction and the branch to which Mr. Bradley belongs, came early to New England, where many Bradleys may yet be found. From there the father of Mr. Bradley in his youth was brought to Niagara County and spent his life here as a farmer. [Information on parents omitted.] Mr. Bradley received his educational training in the public schools and grew to manhood on a farm. Although politics and the larger life have claimed him to some extent as years have gone by, he has never discontinued his agricultural activities nor lost interest in the farm of which he assumed ownership charge when twenty-one years of age. Mr. Bradley has 220 acres of some of the finest land in Niagara county, and here may be found the rich results of scientific farm development. In 1907 Mr. Bradley built a handsome residence on this estate, giving his modernly constructed mansion a beautiful landscape setting. . . [Information on marriage and children omitted.] Mr. Bradley has long been a political factor of importance in the Second Niagara District. He has served in many local offices and for four years was a member of the county board of supervisors representing the town of Somerset. In 1912 he was called to a wider field of influence, in that year being elected a member of the New York General Assembly, and during his term left no stone unturned to advance the welfare of his constituents of the Second District, and his efforts in aid of legislative action to remedy certain ills complained of, were effective. Among other honors tendered him in recognition of his high character, local prominence and loyal Americanism, was his appointment as a member of the Andersonville Monument Commission. Mr. Bradley is a Mason of advanced degree and also a Shriner. In any assemblage because of his spendid physique, Mr. Bradley would be a notable figure, while his hearty manner and general friendliness are contagious. His personal popularity with his neighbors and friends is practically limitless."
