Wyman P Davis and Anna Hansen


Wyman P Davis-5 (Levi Henry Davis-4, Susan Elisa Pawling-3, Jane Wilson-2, Alexander Wilson and Jane Armour-1) was born on 16 Jan 1871. In 1910 and 1920 he was farming in USA, IL, De Kalb, Paw Paw. In 1930 he was selling nursery stock in USA, IL, De Kalb, Paw Paw. It is not presently known when or where he died, or where he is buried, although he was supposedly buried in USA, IL, McLean, Bloomington.

Anna Hansen-2 (Lund and Peter Hansen-1) was born about 1879 in Denmark. It is not presently known when or where she died or where she is buried.

When she was 19 years old and living in USA, MI, Mason, Ludington, Anna gave birth on 13 Feb 1898 to a son whom she named Carl Hansen. She was not married at the time. Michigan birth records list the father's name as John Roady, living in USA, MI, Mason, Ludington. A John P Rody is listed in the 1900 census living in Ludington. He is shown as having been born in Jul 1875 in USA, MI, to Mary L Rody, born in Aug 1846 in Ireland. Mary is shown as widowed. The 1880 census shows John's father to be John Rhoddy, born about 1838 in Ireland.

Wyman P Davis and Anna Hansen were married on 31 Jul 1907 in USA, MI, Berrien, St Joseph. It does not appear that they had any children together, but Wyman raised Anna's son, either adopting him, or at least allowing the use of Davis as his surname.
