Howard S Chapman-6 (Stephen W Chapman-5, Elizabeth J Wilson-4, Stephen Melvin Wilson-3, Alexander Wilson Jr-2, Alexander Wilson and Jane Armour-1) was born on 8 Nov 1891 in USA, NY, Niagara, Niagara Falls. In 1917 he was a salesman for an equipment company in USA, MO, Jackson, Kansas City. He died at the age of 71 years on 10 Dec 1962 in USA, CA, Orange, Anaheim. It is not presently known where he is buried.

Additional Information about Howard S Chapman

Two names have been found associated with Howard as possible wives.

The first name is Kathryn/Katherine Smith, born about 1897, in USA, MO, and probably in Jackson County, Kansas City. A date of marriage of 19 May 1915 and place of marriage of USA, MO, Jackson, Kansas City, were associated with this name.

The second name is Dorothy, also born about 1897 in USA, MO. The coincidence of approximate birth dates and place of birth raise a question as to whether Howard was married twice, or if, perhaps, the two women's names actually belong to the same lady.

Howard was found in the 1910 census, living with his mother, Grace (Harrington) Chapman, in USA, MO, Jackson, Kansas City. A Howard Chapman, married to Katherine, and with three children, was found in the 1920 census, living in USA, NY, Onondaga, Syracuse. Howard and Katherine Chapman were also living in Syracuse in 1910, so it is unlikely that this is the correct Howard Chapman. However, that does not mean that the name of Kathryn/Katherine Smith is incorrect.

Howard has not yet been positively identified in either the 1920 or the 1930 census. A person who appears to be the correct Howard S Chapman was found living with his wife, Dorothy, in USA, MO, Jackson, Kansas City, in the 1940 census.

It does not appear that Howard had any children.
