Generation 7:
Dickie?
Dickie-7 (Harriet Chapman-6, Stephen W Chapman-5, Elizabeth J Wilson-4, Stephen Melvin Wilson-3, Alexander Wilson Jr-2, Alexander Wilson and Jane Armour-1). There is a gravestone in Wisner Cemetery, USA, NY, Niagara, Newfane, for "Dickie," who was born in 1921 and died in 1926. Wisner Cemetery was abandoned in 1876, so it is unlikely that "Dickie" is actually buried there. The stone is located at the foot of the monument for Elizabeth J (Wilson) Chapman and her daughter, Nellie E Chapman. Both Elizabeth and Nellie were moved to Wrights Corners Cemetery, USA, NY, Niagara, Wrights Corners.
It is possible that this stone does not belong with Elizabeth, and was placed by her monument inadvertently, perhaps when the cemetery was cleaned up.
It is also possible that "Dickie" is a misspelling of Dickey, and that Elizabeth's granddaughter, Harriet (Chapman) Dickey and her husband, Clyde Reid Dickey, had a child who died young. At the time this child was born, and perhaps when it died, Harriet and Clyde were living in USA, LA, Orleans, New Orleans, and had moved several times since their marriage in 1908. If Harriet and Clyde had a child, it is possible that they wanted a memorial for it someplace where the child would be with family. However, that would not explain why the stone was placed in Wisner Cemetery, rather than in Wrights Corners Cemetery. However, Harriet's family moved west when she was quite young. She may not have known that Wisner Cemetery was no longer open, or may not have known that Elizabeth and Nellie had been moved to Wrights Corners Cemetery.
All of this is the rankest speculation.
