"STAGE - Ruth (Wilson) Williams Stage of Lockport-Olcott Road, Lockport, formerly of Basom, entered into rest Monday, July 4, 1994. Wife of the late Richard Stage; beloved sister of Grace G. Wood of Ridgewood, Dorothy J. Andres of Lockport, Bert (Virginia) Wilson of Burt and the late Laura Nelson, Roy K. Wilson, Allen Wilson, Elmer Wilson, Wesley Wilson, Stephen Wilson, Mary Wilson and Emily Wilson. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Beginning Tuesday at 7 p.m., friends received at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Ave., Newfane, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. The family will be present Tuesday 7-9 and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Interment in Wrights Corners Cemetery. If desired, memorials appreciated to Wrights Corners Volunteer Fire Co., ambulance fund."

"Ruth Stage, Basom Hotel Owner

"NEWFANE - Ruth Wilson Williams Stage, 93, of 3902 Lockport-Olcott Road, formerly of Basom, died Monday, July 4, 1994.

"Born Jan. 9, 1901, she was the daughter of Allen D. and Jessie Darling Wilson.

"Her husband, Richard died in September, 1966. They were wed Dec. 30, 1962, in Akron.

"Mrs. Stage owned and operated the Basom Hotel in Basom until 1993.

"She retired in 1961 from Harrison in Lockport.

"Mrs. Stage was a member of the Genesee County Liquor Dealers Assn.

"Surviving are two sisters and a brother, Grace G. Wood of Ridgewood, Dorothy J. Andres of Lockport and Bert (Virginia) Wilson of Burt and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

"Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Ave.

"Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Wayne Jagow officiating.

"Burial will be in Wrights Corners Cemetery.

"Memorials may be made to the Wrights Corners Volunteer Fire Co. ambulance fund."
