"RUSHFORD - Ann W. Black, a homemaker, died Wednesday in her home here after a long illness. She was 58.
"Born in Lockport, the former Ann Cook was a 1965 graduate of Newfane High 'School and a 1967 graduate of Bryant & Stratton Business Institute. She worked for a short time at Buffalo Asbestos Corp., then was an accountant and clerk for the Newfane Central School District.
"A resident of Rushford for the past few years, she enjoyed gardening, her Koi fish pond, puzzles, reading, walking dogs in the woods, painting and wallpapering.
"Surviving are her husband of 32 years, * * *, a retired Niagara Falls firefighter; [her children]; a brother, Gary R. Cook of Newfane; and [other relatives].
"Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Babbitt & Easton Funeral Home, 7 N. Main St., Franklinville."
