"Reece E. Hughes, 80, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Saturday, July 16, 2005, at the Concordia Care Center in Bella Vista. He was born March 23, 1925, in Primghar, Iowa, to Clark Hughes and Electa Hardin Huges [sic]. He lived in Bella Vista for 14 years coming from Henning, Minn. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista. He had a successful career as a high school basketball coach in Sutherland, Iowa, before joining IMT Insurance Company in Des Moines, Iowa.
"Survivors include his wife, * * *; [his children]; five grandchildren, * * *; two great-grandchildren; [and his siblings].
"A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, at the First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista with the Rev. David Fleming and the Rev. Wayne Bartruff. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 20 Boyce Drive, Bella Vista, AS 72714. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory."
