"NORTH PLATTE, Neb. -- Graveside services with military honors for Ardmore resident Glen Edmund Jergensen, 77, will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Neb. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Gary Bohannan officiating.
"Born Feb. 1, 1920, to Ole L and Alma W. Wicklund Jergensen at Gothenburg, Neb., he died Sept. 6, 1997, in Ardmore.
"He married [his wife] March 5, 1939, in North Platte. He joined the Navy during World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater. He retired as an electrician with the City of North Platte in November 1976. He and his wife moved to Ardmore about 15 years ago.
"Survivors include his wife, * * *, [his children]; [his siblings], 15 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Rose and Pearl Boman.
"Visitation will [be] 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Wednesday at the Adams and Swanson Funeral Home, North Platte."
