“Life-Long Resident
“Mary L. Nelson, age 85, of Lockport, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2001, in Lockport Memorial Hospital. She was born March 4, 1915 in Lockport and was the daughter of the late Austin B. and Minnie J. Wemple Morrill. Mrs. Nelson was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church and the Eastern Star. She and her husband, the late William M. Nelson owned and operated the Mortimer Company in Lockport for over 20 years. Mr. Nelson died in 1996.
“Mrs. Nelson is survived by two [children]; eight grandchildren * * *; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
“Friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Lange Funeral Home, Inc., 186 East Ave. A memorial service will be held from Plymouth Congregational Church on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Glenwood Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to the Plymouth Congregational Church.”
