John Phillip Imber (Gale/Gail A Whitfield and John C Imber) was born on 26 Nov 1923 in USA, OH, Miami County. He served as a 1st Lt in the US Army during the Korean War. He served in the 1st Cavalry Division, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Battalion, Company G. He was killed in action in North Korea on 3 Oct 1951, at the age of 27 years. He was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal. It is not presently known where he is buried.
