About Philonzo Chamberlain
- Land Records, from William Frank Arlington
From research done by William F Arlington: Philonzo Chamberlain bought 168 acres of land in Lenawee County, Michigan, on 25 May 1835 (T. 5 S., R. 1 E., sec. 6).
Note from Wilson Association Historian: From census records, showing Philonzo in Somerset, Niagara County, New York, in 1830, and in Woodstock TWP, Lenawee County, Michigan, in 1840, and from the fact that his daughter, Susan Eunice Chamberlain, was born in New York, about 1835, and his son, Augustus W Chamberlain, was born in Michigan on 03 May 1837, it appears that Philonzo moved his family to Michigan between 1835 and 1837.
