Letter Sent Home


Dear Ones.

Your letter 31 arrived yes. P.M. glad to get it I will say. we rec. also one from Ella Human Bush i & one from Tempe. yes. morn. got one from cousin Lib & Henry ii made 4 letters yes. that’s more like it. we have been sewing & cutting rags will about finish them today. you ought to see my blue dress when it came from laundry the colar was the same color. I took it off & boiled it in lye & put it on grass then fixed neck & sleeves without white when I feel stronger maby next week I do my own washing the white cloths were just fine. “live & learn” ought to have your chickens here hotter weather pa has just gone down town for me some flour of some kind. I would not go I get so nervous in the crowd I better keep out of it. I don’t know what will become of me yet be a total wreck I guess. Dr. said this morn. sugar free no doubt I don’t get enough to eat to make my bowels move bread may help me out some have not had only about 1/2 slice to eat all together in nearly two weeks Phoebe said by the time it got in my stomach the starch would be all gone took just a bite for three morn. & pa almost had a fit because I ate pumpkin it was on my vegetable list so I tried it cook it down dry & it tastes like squash. its good.

Glad F. Salow iii has to walk the chalk line. you said in first letter Helen had boy.iv Volks surprised to hear that quite a vacation will be a great doll for the girls will send some pictures the children want know Dr. pulled a big core out pa’s boil so now it will get well. it had 3 holes in.
