washed Pa & J.P. went to Montgomery’s after stalks B come back with 2 cottontails P.M. all & Mont. went to Escondido. back early wrote Phebe to send letters

Dear ones at home
We are out for a lark this P.M. down to Escondido (I spelled it wrong before) with J.P. fine weather. I done something yes. I never done before Dec 12 went in the garden & picked ripe tomatoes for dinner I washed today the first in two weeks it makes me think of Cattaraugus Co out to Jacks a valley with mountains all around it I don’t see what they raise to get any money out of. he has a cow & a dry cow two heifers 2 horses 40 hens. I am writing while waiting. we are going to Santiago tomorrow it is awfull dry want rain bad. Pa went with J.P. this A.M. to get load of corn fodder & come back with 2 rabbits. oh yes he has a dog & 2 cats we are feeling fine Pa boil is healed & he is taking something to cleanse his blood Pa has sure boiled over here in Calif. he has had 5 one was next to carbunckle had 3 holes. well people are ready for our back track 11 miles to go. pa drove team one day in Cal. J.P. is fixing his house. hope you are all well. we have to go to the Center for the mail no carrier out our way. we will go back to Los A. next week they want us to be back for Xmas. I have wanted to send a little box home but seams we cant get to it.
