Well that pa done very well I don’t know as there is any more to tell I done a two weeks wash Monday & had the ironable ones folded when the Campbell’s came to Steves after they were gone I ironed (lucky dog) I washed both sheets & p- cases so for once left a span clean bed we perhaps will be gone all week. its supper time every one is getting busy so guess I will we want to go to bed early & finish in morn. so long.

9 A.M.

we are about ready to move somewhere are feeling fine. its so funny to go in dressing room & hear the women talk that “unusual” is the by word of all & all take it as a joke one woman said yes was the first day she had been warm all winter. oh it was hot & today promises to be another scorcher not so bad when riding. Sun. we (with P-) called on Hollis & G- they are both feeling fine now H- had the “Flue” but is back to work they say they are not homesick nor never been they come to Cal. to stay have bo’t a home & their interest is here. G- has been caring for a little boy (7 yrs old) neighbor that spilled about 2 qt. boiling water over him & was on the point of Phenmonia when it happened. they had some job but think him out of danger. 2 weeks she had been with him. I think the neighbor fortunate to have a nurse so near by. don’t know whether we get to see them again or not. they said we must not leave without coming again but. Pa is writing to Aunt Ellen. she wrote & called him I wish she had done it before. 10 days in this month yet & we will have to hustle if we carry out our plans. all I dread about leaving Los A- is hearing from you all but if we can will send add. I expect now you will have some letters returned well we trust you will all keep well. I feel when we leave here we are headed for home we must get going now. watch for our new addresses

love to you all. Mother

well I just discovered I tore off 2 sheets of paper instead of one so might as well scribble on as long as pa is busy. you will have to write all about the whole D- family. I have not answered Lucille’s nice letter but know they hear from us thru you so don’t feel so bad about it. but it was so good of her to write I sent E- & E- both Birthday cards. have your letters partly written then it wont take so much time at once. how about your hired couple you will have more time to write when you have help. how is grandma C- what a blessing poor Mrs. Dean is at rest. what about your turkeys is the fever still raging. is Bertha expecting a boarder. will send you a bunch of pict. again before leaving (a joke on pa) Sun. morn. he got Steves & Elliss all out snapped one & the shutter stuck then took another. went across the street & shot the house on top of it so now he has none any way. he has done that trick so much lately don’t know whats the “ailing of him.” he got some new stuff yes. so expect I will try & keep my mind on what is doing. but as I never have been allowed to use it. (I forget) Pa’s thru.

Bye bye M & D
