Mon Apr 24 -- cloudy & cool packed box &c


Letter Sent Home


Dears ones all,

Rec. your letter of 19th with a check O.K. & telling of Mrs. Gerger’s death that is to bad a nice little boy left without a mother. We bumed last week. Thurs P.M. we found Grant Richardson’s she is Cousin Frank & Zelma’s aunt & could not get away till Sat. morn. then went out to “Chino” & found Malinda Long Woods the couple that was touring around N.Y. the year we were building & had that little black dog with them. they sure were surprised we were there only a couple hours. her health is bad. her heart is bad she has sinking spells & she has to diet but she looks fine real stout you would not dream of her being sick. well as far as I know at present it is good bye to Gluten “whole wheat” fills the bill & am eating all veg. (but spuds) fine I will say. (Pa has learned to make tests) P- & I are going to store she is all dolled in white. it has been cool & cloudy the last three days. we are going to pack a box today to send by freight to Wilson N.Y. no telling when it will get there or what shape it will be in. will send bunch of pictures before leaving here. are planning to be going in a week. expect to get snow bound north we have a new house a yeller canvas. cant tell where I will write from next time but will write the same. What has become of my girl Mary she has not written us since she has her hair bobbed. Glad you are all well. we are well my “old arms” ache. I lay it to washing. I try to keep washed up so not have big ones we slept in Ford all week till last night. Bill & J- have moved they (no J) come this way Fri. & left new add. we Eunice & P- went out there yes. they not there. I had rather be in a camp will go out again. maby can tell more next time.
