thunder storms p.m. clear rested
Letter Sent Home
Thunder but I am mad pa took 9 exposed films down & had them developed Sat. got them Sun. morn. & the blamed old Camera shutter stuck & about one third of them are no good he took 9 snaps of the bears in park couple of fish he caught & not one has he of bears. one poor one of fish. it makes me so disgusted I feel like smashing the old thing it done that once before & he tho’t it the bulb so he got a snapper put on I think he better put on a couple more well ‘nuff said it can’t be helped now. never have the chance again I expect to get my teeth today the Dr (dentist) was to treat my gums yes. 4 P.M. we the 4 of us went to Mamie’s & did not get back & I tho’t I could stand the skip as my gums were pretty tender. so last we called him on phone to see what time I sho’d come to office & he said my teeth had come & to come down 10 A.M. so now I expect the fun will begin getting used to them I’m getting a plate with 3 teeth so not so bad as full set. my but that was a hard clap it has been all thunder showers so far this morn. one just goes over & another follows come from the East. oh it was hot yes. & last night I tho’t I would smother I longer to be in the old Ford it would have been much cooler. our room is on the west side of the house & the breeze come from East well I slept fairly well but not so well as I generally do in “Ford.” well we will be traveling on now in a few days. send letters to Mo. untill I send new address as far as I am concerned we would cut out Kansas City & Greeley but pa says we will go to K.C. so mi’t as well go 60 mi. farther to Greeley too. but must write them again I wrote them we would be there in July, but changed our route & come down here & then to Mo. (Carthage) first so can’t get there till next month. oh it’s so hot spoils the pleasure of visiting. don’t mind the riding so much as there is always a breeze. pa is out in Garage tuning “Liz” Sun. Jim wife & Naoma Mamie John & Boyd were here. Lee & wife could not come Lee had to help thresh yes. Lee was threshing his oats so we did not see them sorry too we feel better acquainted with Lee as he was home when we were in Okla. before. Jim reminds me of Jay. he is no farmer he is a painter & paper hanger handy at carpenter work. well I wont say anymore or wont have any thing to tell you when we get home. have not got your letter yet P.O. closed when we got back last night. will leave little space & finish at P.O. got teeth any way they feel funny expect I’ll have to get used to them, yes your letter is here pa did not come down town was under car Florence lay down some of the pink rambles Becca & the children would like some. they have the crimson. Must come down 4 P.M. to treat gums Mother
