visited & took ride thru past. see cattle. P.M. all went to Wills
Letter Sent Home
Dear ones,
Well we are still living in Mo. & if the people here have their way about it we will stay here the rest of our days. we were among the Campbell family ten days. last night we come over here to Will Seeley’s will go over to W.T.’s this P.M. will not say how long we will stay there. we have slept in their dooryard one night with the promise of coming back. but we would like to be in Greeley or Garnett over next Sun. direct 7330 Terrace St. Kansas City, Mo. Mon. morn. we will get there as soon as we can expect to stop one night in Nevada, Mo, to David Morey’s. we come over here to Will’s yes. P.M. Seeley’s come over too. Julia has a nice boy 8 mos. old they all think he will walk soon (about 4 mo. I say) I want to do a little wash today I left my dishpan to Mabel’s. You sure had a good crowd to Reunion. expect you went the 5th guess we will miss all of them this year. we had a great time threshing last week Harold had them Mon. Mon night they had hard rain. Tues. we washed B & Mabel did I patched Harold’s overalls & got dinner Wed eve ironed an old ripper & hot. wed. night we went to Walter’s, Thurs. morn. Mabel phoned Harold had fair fever so Francis & Mabel packed lunch & away we two families went to Carthage 17 mi. to fair got there noon ate lunch then scattered met Jack he & I were togather part of P.M. saw Maggies Margeret & Howard. Bennie & Lydia so had quite reunion again. stopped & saw Juliet a few min. on our way home the third time we bid her adieu guess it is final this time. Fri. A.M. finished Harolds threshing oh yes we went to Geo. thurs. night. the machien went to Geo. from Harolds so I helped there (Mabel too) we went home with H- & M- stayed all night then back to Geo. & helped again had dinner then, left for Mr. Evan’s & over to Seeley’s. Geo lives in the big house now where Mira & Geo lived oh I will explain to you when we get home. Yes Frank Woodring’s mother was my own cousin & I told him I claimed relationship because he reminded me of my bro. & Dwight Ortt. he is a dandy ma & they gave us such a nice time. I must close. they are going to take mail to box 1/4 mi. & I send this out
