cloudy camped in a Mr. Logan’s drive under walnut trees a lovely home has (?) 200 acres, 112 in corn left camp 7:30 on thru corn belt hogs roads good first stop in Fairview (gas) next in Farmington, Ill. (eats). rained quite smart. on our about 5 mi rained so we stopped in barn about an hour. then went on stopped at schoolhouse for lunch found B had left ax he & W i drove back 6 mi I got dinner by time they got back they did not find ax then I found it in car (some joke) then Peoria. north thru DePue & camped in Peru, Ill. in fairgr. 142 mi
