rained till 10 A.M. B. W. & M. i went to Wilson’s. W & Douglas ii come back with them visited till noon. dinner then dishes & hiked 1:30 May & Mark iii going to funeral (Archie iv drove in) stopped got gas Detroit took Ferry 3:20 from Detroit to Winsor v road fairly good part way about 6, saw nice church sheds so drove in did it rain?
Letter Sent Home
Dear ones all-
Now to business the first thing. What do we want done toward house cleaning before the reunion I wanted to paint the plaster in my kitchen this fall a cream like the light in the wood work or on that order do we want the other rooms papered? (I guess so) suppose you see W- Ortt & see if he can do any thing for us next week as early in the week as he can. do your part first. we will try to be home the last of the week & I think two days will fix me up explain to Will our rush he will understand. now do as you think best about this suggestion. I will foot the bill (nuff said)
We are at Mark & May’s intended to go to Detroit this morn. but rained we may go P.M. if we do & all goes well will spend Sun. with Tom & Maria or get there sometime Sun. Mark had threshers yes. P.M. I wrote cousin Henry to come if we were not home you would meet him (don’t you think my nerve O.K.) we’re feeling fine this cool weather. hope you all well was with Den’s one night. Augustus Chamberlains one night - then landed here Wed. night. They are all well here Chamberlains are miserable poor old people alone most of the time.
