This Obituary was transcribed from a clipping in a scrapbook kept by Mabel Estelle Wilson. The same clipping was found in the home of Benjamin Ernest and Mary Catherine (Smoyer) Wilson.
"CHAMBERLAIN - Died, January 9, 1913 at his late home, 326 Avery avenue, Detroit, Mich., Alvinzie Hunt Chamberlain. He was the fifth son of the late Philonzo and Cynthia Wilson Chamberlain and was 78 years of age. He was a veteran of the Civil War and received a disabling wound in the 2nd battle of Bull Run. His connection with a prominent Baptist church of Detroit, and his genial and kindly nature stamped him as a man of fine Christian character. He was one of the charter members of the Wilson association and leaves a host of friends and relatives in Niagara county."
