Dear ones at home
at last we arrived last night at 7:30 or eight they were looking for us your letter got here first & besides there was a lady passed us that knew Bill & she phoned to Walters & told them Bill was coming Walter has threshers & when they saw the lights coming he blew a long blast on the whistle Mable & the children were there & Uncle "Sandy" he looks like uncle Geo. looks nothing like he did 8 yrs ago well what a pow-wow there was when we drove in we just had to go in to supper then we come to Harolds. we went to Du_den_ville this morn with Mable to get plumb she had ordered to can no fruit here. that is why this letter did not get mailed today. Oh but it is hot here just fierce. I had a little of that pink medicine in the (my) suitcase & the cork come out & you know how it fixed every thing. some wash tomorrow while it is cool Mable has power, so not so bad. oh such roads as we found in Mo. we come the mountain trail to avoid the mud but if I had to do it again I would take the mud. but we got here. not very good crops here they have had it so very dry. well I am alive & not so tired our last run was 105 miles we got out about every two hrs. & so did not tire so. now I will quit for this time. glad you are all well Ben wants to go to Juliett’s this P.M. but don’t know about 17 mi. George’s expect an increase any day Geo. come over to see us this morn.
So long for now, keep well Grandma & Grandpa
