Dear Folks

We camped last night in the Free camping ground of Moline. had a hard rain. did not get up very early it was still raining we got up 8:30 boys looked over cars we had a flat tire picked up a fish hook & wire. Bill car went to the road but ours refused to start. Bill come back & they are tinkering. oh by the way we got 5 lb. gluten in Carthage all they had in City I guess & that come from Chicago it is only 40% I made some pancakes this morn. will try them anyway. we slept just fine last night in spite of the lightening & rain are feeling fine this morn. we expect to get in mud today thats why we are not in a hurry to start mud is mud in Mo. & Kan. we drove 125 mi. yes. the boys keep shaking the car. maby the mud will be dry by the time we get started. the Mo. folks wanted us to stay longer but ---- I heard pa say we would stop on our way back (maby) I can’t collect my mind to write & I write often too I keep you well posted. write often untill I send another address. Juanita folks know we are on the way. well it is 1:30 P.M. they have just got the car popping the mud is drying all the time & we have a fine camping place so why worry Bill says “all is for the best.” we have stores here so can get eats. when it is muddy tourists lay off till it drys. might better be here than in a mud puddle. hope all are well.

Love to all. Ma & Pa
