broke camp before breakfast 7:10 on thru Plains, Kan. then got in mud turned back met man said must go that road went back with him got thru two quite bad places then came to a regular lake turned went back about a mile & met two other cars cut cross field got in mud Bill put on boots one car with 4 men had a rope & hitched on a car driven by a lady & 7 men pulled her out -- 5 cars in a bunch then had to go back a mile to road & took another trail got thru that time went about 2 mi & breakfasted by side of road how the wind blew could hardly get fire to burn oh what a good breakfast hungry (10:30) after all the excitement then rolled on thru Prairie and thru more ? then sand hills to Liberal, Kan, there we gassed & oil up one o’clock thru Tyrone, Ok, Hooker, Ok very good roads. Texhoma, Oka. near Texas line part of village in Oka & part in Texas camped in camping gr in Oka side of a garage church at the side went to bed to be eaten by mosquitoes oh but they were thick
