fine night rested fine left camp before 7 went about 40 rods & one of our new tires blew out soon put on the Mohock & went on roads very good saw 3 deer got in Prescott Ariz about noon got gas & eats B got some shells &c oil & just outside as we commenced to climb mountains we ate dinner by side of road. what a pretty sight thru mountains and more mountains camped side of road at Bumblebee (56 mi of mt road ahead) Will shot 2 rabbits fried them for supper made our beds & climb in real warm even 91 mi

I guess thats the date it is Monday noon. we are within 150 miles of Phoenix we want to get to Tempe tomorrow it all depends on the roads. we had the worst roads yet yes. between Williams & Ash Fork rocks with all the dirt washed out. we are both feeling just fine I am a little lame from riding the mule down Canyon but it was worth it. we had fried rabbit for supper last night (fish & duck the day before) this A.M. we saw 3 deer about 1/2 mile away hope all well wont write till we get there.
