Dear ones.
I am going to try a new stunt I have plenty of paper but why not get two letters in one. I write so often & all so quiet here I can’t find much to write. Pa is over in Leon’s i garage doing something to the car we went for a ride yes. & he said it did not fire right I did not notice it so I know about as much about machinery as some others. P- bo’t a rotary white (you know they are good - for - sewing) well last week she had a great time with it again said the girls could not sew on it & it balked &c &c. she had the agent come & get the head it was gone three weeks. (gone when we come) B & I took her down town the first week we were here & they bro’t it out on a Monday two weeks today. she used it a little. but did not go right & she would sputter & it had to sew right before she payed another cent on it. she has payed $35.00 on it pays every month is to pay $95.00 just think. well last week it balked again I looked at it she had it threaded wrong & the bobbin thread kept breaking untill the carrier had a wad of thread on. pa come in just then so I turned it over to him & told him to oil the duce out of it & that grinding & sticking would stop so he did & I thread it up right & I have sewed the last of the rags on it & I think it runs just fine but I dare not say much she is down on the machine. & a “singer” agent told her they had lots of trouble with the White. now she wants to trade it even up (33.00 for a second hand singer (such prices) it makes me sick said enough I am feeling better. have had gluten bread Sat & Sun. now sugar if - dont know Dr. don’t like anylsis 40% is all. maby he’ll say (nil). I wont go on broth & black coffee again that’s all there is to it.
P- likened to had fit over our crop of popcorn wish we did have some but it would cost more to send it than to buy it here. don’t let it mold that will spoil it. Bill & J have rented a kitchenette 1 room & a place to cook are going in today. we’ll call on them soon he may buy yet he made an offer on a couple lots & waiting their reply.
you will do well to ferrit out this letter hope you are all well. Pa’s boil nearly healed he was about sick with it. Steves all fine. went to Venice & Redondo yes. but did not hunt anyone at either place.
