B went to help B finish garage I went to store & finished housedress eve went to Leon’s called on Bills
Letter Sent Home
Dear Ones.
I wont keep you wondering how we are & what we are doing. Pa is helping Bill i this is the third day. I think I told you they rented Kitchenette well they had no place for car & their land lady said if he would build a garage she would turn his work in on rent so he went to it. Thurs. morn we went over & he had the lumber & was ready to work I stayed all day too. they have one room about 12 ft. square with a bed small sewing table dresser with glass one drop leaf table not as large as ours small one 2 chairs & one rocker, a small pantry I would call it with shelves 2 gass burner, sinck. room for one thats all & a small cloths press with shelves clear to ceiling. room enough for two thats all. Steve ii has garage fever too he wants a double one Ellis iii bo’t a car & their roomer has one so it would bring him $10 or so a month. so Pa will have another job when S- gets the lumber. ? pa drew 3 ford loads of wood from the place Ellis is working its small pieces they can’t use any more from concret forms it makes fine fire but don’t last long they are glad to have some one take it a way. pa is going over more when he gets Bill fixed up thinks they will finish today. As me I am feeling fine get all I want to eat such as I dare eat (dried beef for one) no sugar so far this morn. I asked him about milk he said I might try it (I did not say I had what he don’t know he don’t by my telling him. we get a bottle when I bake my bread & I drink some too believe me) I cut out my apron dress yes. & have it nearly done trim it with rickrack I bo’t a pattern well I will get at it & finish so P- can use machine she has Eunice one cut out but she is patching just now. we want to go to Leon’s this P.M. if pa gets back in time hope you are all well & all the neighbors I send the girls a piece a sample of my dress & will write them soon when I have more time say Sun if we don’t go for all day trip never know whats going they want to go 70 miles some where soon have not found Len or Nettie yet. just got a letter from Mabel Campbell so this wont go till P.M. I was not aware it was so late time just flies.
