went in morn & found Leonard i P.M. went to beach then back to Steve’s
Letter Sent Home
Dear ones all.
Well here I am scribbling again don’t you think I write too often well it seams I have so much to day. today Pa & I started out to find Len well we got there before we knew it & had to turn around & come back three or four houses. Len was dressing to go to the beach his wife asked us in. Len come out & Pa shook hands with him he did not know him for a minute then said I have seen the face some where just a minute I’ll tell you. Ben Wilson he looks like his mother & acts or walks like his dad. he keeps an orange aid stand makes the juice himself his stand is down on the beach about three blocks from where he lives they asked us down to stay & I presume we will go when we get around to it. we expect to get out more now soon. that is if the rain don’t come first. Ben & Bill finished their garage sat. P.M. now as soon as Steve gets lumber he wants to help he build two. Phoebe & I want to sew this week she is behind & I will try to help her catch up. just plain sewing. sheets pillow slips night shirts &c I finished my house dress last night & Eunice put it on & you would think it was made for her. P- has one partly made for her from the same pattern. oh your old mammy is gay in her pink. I am feeling just fine (pa got more dried beef yes.) I walked more that a mile today & feel good tonight. down on the beach they have piers built out in the ocean & on that pier is regular midway all the chance games you can think of & shows figure 8 merry go round airal swings &c &c lots of places for money to get a way if you want it to. we just walked around but we are going down some time & watch the free shows out side on platforms. slight of hand &c. well it is 10 oclock & we are going to bed.
Mon, morn 10 A.M. well here it is most time for carrier so will have to hustle this is a cool morning Harry is here gone out back to chat with the men they are going to move chicken coop the lum. is coming tomorrow for garage so Pa will be busy for a few days. they went down this morn. & ordered it. I do dishes in the morn. Eunice gets up from table & goes to her school she has so far to go Helen has to practice music & so has no extra time but nights they the girls wont let me do them P- is hunting night shirt pattern so I will get busy at that. Harry said this morn. I might try milk. I have been drinking a glass once in a while (on sly) so it is all right. hope all are well.
