hot the last 3 days & hot today left camp after 7 days for “Yosemite” i first 20 mi level & farming then wooded mts & mts canyons everywhere snow pushed ford up grades 4 times finally got to Wawona ii & camped by river. supper had bath went to bed river soon sang us to sleep. snow balled pa today pines

8 A.M. we are leaving Merced camping ground. after seven days. we are going nearer the Yosemite, even if we have to wait a few days more. we are both good. sleep like babies & eat well. Pa is getting eats so I will improve my time we have had two hot days & this promises to out do them. just wrote P.O. at San F- to hold our mail we will try to be there between 23 & 28th to “49ers celebration” hope all well. so long.
