rested fine. got to Merced 10 A.M. got eats got box & spokes from old wheel. i thru Modesto to Stockton lunch at Stockton looked for West R. ii (nil) onto Lodi camped on bank of small lake mosquitoes & young peoples’ clack kept us busy till midnight
