grain field after field barley mostly between Williams & Willow gas ackers of rice then miles of gravel soil “turkey” ranches stopped in Corning for eats on “bang” went tire (11) fixed up ate dinner in a free camp 10 mi to Red Bluff hills fixed wheel cone stopped in Redding 4 P.M. eats drove on to Baird free camp side of “McCloud River” i142 miles
