Letters Sent Home

I don’t know what is the trouble with some these tourists yes. morn. folk that just come from Yellowstone day before said that they drove out in one day to where we camped said 135 mi. well we got to Livingston & found we had 55 mi. to go yet so camped here. the roads were bad yes. they had a hard rain three days ago & they plowed thru & such ruts as they made. good thing for us cousin Frank kicked up such a fuss when we were going to leave fri. morn. so we stayed there til mon. morn. we’d been right in it. we were in camp last nt. with about 100 other cars beside Yellowstone River & no mosq. pa is getting a supply of groc. to take in gas 31¢ here in Park 45 they have to truck everything in there we will truck as much of our own as we can. feeling fine this morn. & a hot day.

Love to all. Ma

Dear ones

Will commence & finish some time our letters all read I just wrote Manorie. I wrote you a card at the P.O. the day I sent the box with the plants & you should have got it with box any way. I always put our next address on envelope when I know what it will be. when we leave a place we leave our new add. at P.O. (like this) when we left Tacoma Wash. we left new address Gardiner at Gardiner today we told him to sent it to Coda & we get it one our way out of here. but you direct one to Col. Springs then wait new add. Tues. morn. we went over to a camp fire talk in camp last night a man gave a talk on formation of rocks of the animals & birds in park &c. now we are so far as information office we think we will be here a week any way everyone says don’t try to see the park in a couple of days. so our rent in payed $7.50 we can stay all summer if we like (nit). that Bertha ought to have her face slapped glad she has gone no one to be with children. well pa is getting itchy so will close. about 150 cars in our camp last night that was only one camp must be big crowd in here.
