My dear Mr. and Mrs. Wilson, -
Father 1 wishes me to say that the trees have been cleared off in good shape. Most of them were sledded off in the old boat, only we put a new bottom in it. I finally got my gate up at the road and so far we each got a rabbit on the inside of the gate, with a shot gun. I finally finished hanging those two large doors on the shed to day, and I have my hay all baled, and finished putting it in the barn yesterday. Will 2 has been doing the most of the cultivating so far. The grapes are coming quite good this spring. A little better than I expected, considering what I had last spring. We have a new supply of young rabbits. The country is getting alive with them. Mr. Frizzell 3 has lost about 10% of his grapes so far, with the rabbits. He is doing a lot of fencing now.
I have sold both of my black cows.
Whit 1 enquired about you the other day.
I am going to start in the morning for Los Angeles. Am going to be gone for a few days.
I was in San Diego the other day, returned by way of La Jolla and stopped there. After I return from Los Angeles I am going to start with the house. I have done nothing with it yet.
Uncle Will 2 says -
“I am all right yet, so far. I keep the team a going.” Father says again “This last week is the first vacation the old team has had. Mr. Lake 3 has the blues. He is fencing for rabbits now too. If you let us know your address we will keep you posted along the way.”
This seems to be all. David and I have been here about three weeks. The Lockport paper comes now so we get Lockport news.
Yours, Edith R. Scott
