good hot night but rested good. left camp 7:30 got gas in Basin. “old Lizzie” just pranced B could hardly hold her. I talked to her & we soon got her to her regular pace on she pranced on good dirt road, sug. beets, alfalfa just fine where they have water for irrigating stopped at Thermopolis, Wyo., got dinner on electric plates first time in my life. i went to Big Horn hot springs, ii had drink then out by way fountain pict 1 then back thru town & head off for the mts. when 14 mi “canibal crickets” just taking the country. iii about 5 mi. of them then on over desert mts. at last reached “Lost Cabin” (Opere ? ranch) iv where they kept deer, antilope & birds &c. thundered & lightened wind blew had about 7 drops of rain that’s all. 6 other cars camped there beside road below hill. 120 mi. mts & plains
