slept fine no mosquitoes got our break. on gas (natural) a kitchen built for tourists with 12 burners, water 24 camped on grounds & 4 just across trolley tracks boys looked over cars left camp 9:45 went up town & stayed there 3/4 hour on to Hereford, Tex gassed thru Black. Bill had a blowout about (40 mi to Clovis, Mex) halfway between Black & Friona, Tex just a little farther thru Farwell on the line perhaps 5 mi then another blowout then rolled into Clovis, NM free camp about 6 o’clock 118 mi

Right now I will say we are not going thru Colorado. bad hills & washouts sent us south early don’t know where we will go can tell you better after we have been there. we camped in this town last night 24 tourists in camp we got a late start this A.M. (9.45) the men stopped down town so we wrote. we rested fine last night no mosquitoes. we had beefstake for break. cooked over gas a kitchen built for tourists with 12 burners (Free) hope all are well. want to hear from home soon will be 3 or 4 days to Tempe going slow so long
