Dear children
we are out 4 mi. from the city. Bill is fixing spring so I write while waiting every little town has a free camping equipped either by a garage or city last night by a garage. but as yet none beat the first one in Fredonia, N.Y. we have come thru prairies for three days wish you could have a look cattle cattle about 500 in one bunch. well they are ready to roll so will finish this later. Bill says tell you he can’t get along with any of us ha! ha! some trip. well the men are getting water we will soon stop for dinner we are looking for a tree Bill says he will try to find one tomorrow three days any way without seeing a tree only way back from road where they have set them & many more building right in the hot sun none of this for mine. the last 10 mi. has been red sand hard pulling how is Wilfred I am thinking so much of him & the rest of my babies. I think I have sent you a card from every state we have been in don’t have time to write letter
