left our camp 9 stopped where Bill got veg last night & got more (frost had hurt garden) we stopped our car opposite the street I saw lady in flower bed picking flowers she bro’t them & said no New York car stopped before her gate without a bouquet of pansys they were beautiful her home was in Albany, N.Y. well Bill got carrots & string beans. down town J & I stocked up on eats. then on over terrible rough roads for ways on we went saw fine oats, wheat & potatoes in bottom lands frost had killed potatoes & corn arrived at Grand Canyon gates about 5 o’clock had to register left shot gun & the man sealed rifle in its case arrived at camp ground 6 o’clock large ground on side hill & lots of campers had to pay 25¢ per day for water 85 miles
